Editorial Standards

How articles are researched, written and reviewed.

Source hierarchy

Food safety, allergen and labelling claims are grounded in government, intergovernmental or scientific regulator sources. Culinary explanations are written conservatively and avoid unsupported health claims.

International scope

Articles identify when names, additives, allergens or rules differ. No page assumes one country’s label system applies everywhere.

Corrections

Correction requests should identify the page, disputed statement and supporting source through the restricted contact channel.

Updates

Date-sensitive regulatory material is reviewed when practical, but visitors must confirm current local guidance.
